Grilled lamb burgers with feta

Elevate your burger game with these delicious grilled Mediterranean lamb burgers on soft brioche buns.

Sometimes we just like to change things up in our dinner routine, and grilled lamb burgers certainly do that. Packed with flavors like garlic, oregano, and feta cheese, these burgers are sure to be a hit at your next barbecue.

Ingredients for Grilled Lamb Burgers

1 lb. ground lamb
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. chopped fresh oregano
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/4 cup chopped Kalamata olives
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 brioche buns
Tzatziki sauce, for serving

Instructions For Lamb Burgers

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped oregano, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped Kalamata olives. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties. Don’t overwork the patties here, or you risk it falling apart.

When your grill is hot, it’s go time. I used my Blackstone griddle for this cook, but any grill would work.

Grill the lamb burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. 160 degrees is the recommended, safe temperature for ground lamb. Instant read thermometers are a must to ensure proper temps.

Try not to over move the patties as they cook, that will lead to them crumbling or falling apart as lamb is much more lean than beef. Just trust yourself and let them go, keeping your internal thermometer handy.

Toast the brioche buns on the grill for a minute or two, until lightly toasted. I like to add some garlic butter to the buns before toasting.

Assembling the Lamb Burgers

Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted brioche bun and topping with a dollop of tzatziki sauce.

Sprinkle on some feta cheese and lettuce.

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious grilled Mediterranean lamb burgers on brioche buns!

Now for some sides to go with the grilled lamb burgers.
